Indigenous Frontier Technology Research (IFTR) Centre, Chennai in association with Society for Hunger Elimination (SHE) Tirupati is organizing ECO WORKSHOP” a Student Awareness Programme, with the aim of educating the younger generation on environment and agriculture. This is a socially relevant one day lecture cum demonstration programme for the students of classes IX & XII from different schools on 28thJanuary, 2017

Venue:  Shree Amrutha Palace, No 9. VGP Srinivasa Nagar  7th Street, Madambakkam, Chennai 600073.

The programme includes lectures by experts from Universities and Research Centres. This will be followed by demonstration and students participation to get practical training on organic farming, vermi composting and medicinal plants cultivation. 

Prof. Dr. N. Anand, Former Vice Chancellor, Vels University, Chennai will inaugurate the workshop. Prof. Dr. G. Kumaravelu, Save Our Nature Trust, former Chief Conservator of Forests, Tamilnadu will deliver the Key Note Address. 

This is will be first programme in the series of programme we envisage to conduct this year. We take pleasure in inviting you to participate in the programme and look forward to your support.









 





Eco-Workshop 2017 was successfully conducted with 155 students from four schools, 10 teachers, and five faculties. 

1) Government Higher Secondary School, Madambakkam  - 107 students

2) Government Higher Secondary School, Thiruvanchery    -    7 students

3) Jaigopal Garodia Sitadevi Vidyalaya, Madambakkam       -   20 students

4) Jaigopal Gaordia Vidyalaya, Madambakkam                    -   20 students
